My name is Emily.

Welcome to my corner of the internet.

I come from a long line of Makers and I'm proud to keep my family's handmade tradition alive. I run this business called two bridges handmade where I sell handmade purses and accessories. I also run a home-baking business with my mother, called Hester & Pearl.

I've been making and selling my own jewelry since I was twelve years old, and I have been selling online since January 2011. I discovered a new passion in sewing when I learned the craft in 2013.

I received a priceless education while going to school at Hunter College in New York City, and I now work in the entertainment industry as a digital video producer.

My other passion is video editing. Proximity to the ocean is necessary to my well being. I consider myself a professional beach-goer. I'm a Lord of the Rings junkie. I'm a hockey enthusiast (Go Habs Go!). I actually enjoy exercising.  I get a strange thrill out of public speaking. I'm an avid tea drinker.

Why Two Bridges?

I’m a Long Islander, born and raised, and I call the South Shore my home. Remember that part above where I said proximity to the ocean is necessary to my well-being? I grew up traveling over the Robert Moses bridges to get to the state park beach of the same name. It only makes sense to name the business that brings me so much joy after one of my favorite symbols of my home.
